A brief history of the company
The Launch company was founded in China in 1992 by brothers Louis and Charles Liu. Only 10 years later, it achieved a coveted listing on the Hong Kong stock exchange. Launch currently has manufacturing facilities in Shanghai and Shenzhen, where the new global H.Q. was recently constructed.
Launch is a major international player in the garage equipment arena. Its vehicle lifts are number 2 in the world, based on sales volume, with the number 1 slot firmly in the company's sights.
As for diagnostic scanners, within two years of its introduction, the Launch X-431 had already become number 3 in the world and number 1 outside the United States. Driving the X-431's bid for the top slot are no fewer than 200 full-time software engineers, dedicated to the X-431 alone and tasked with developing new and improved applications.
The Company is accredited to internationally recognised quality standards ISO9000:2000 and QS9000 and is the owner of numerous intellectual property rights for its technological innovations.
The success of the Launch company can be directly attributed to the dynamic leadership of Louis and Charles Liu (still only in their mid-30s), to China's low-cost high-quality electronics manufacturing infrastructure and to the availability of a veritable army of highly educated, well motivated staff.
