The X-431 Diagun provides exactly the same diagnostic coverage as the X-431 Master, including advanced programming and coding capability.

The device itself, however, incorporates some important differences. First, it's small and can be held in one hand; it also features a very bright colour screen and is particularly fast to start up. In addition, it provides remote Bluetooth operation but the Diagun also offers the unique feature of being able to communicate with and compare two identical cars at the same time (if an additional smartbox is ordered). This can prove very useful.

Finally, the X-431 Diagun is considerably cheaper at just £1,975 + VAT, with a built in Super-16 multiplexing interface and 1 year's internet updates. Another 2 years' updates would normally cost £625 plus VAT but we can currently offer this valuable feature for only £350 plus VAT, if ordered along with an X431 Diagun. This means that for only £2,325+ VAT you could have a new X431 Diagun with 3 years' updates. A kit of non-16 pin adapters can be ordered if required. This normally costs £400 but is currently on offer at £350+VAT. The Diagun is well worth considering if you want speed and extreme portability and the full X-431 software suite, combined with a significant cost saving and a great colour screen.

Yes they are! The factory site (www.x431.com) makes it clear that non-official units will not be supported, either for updates or warranty.

Why can I buy the unit cheaper on ebay?

They are not sourced through Launch UK. The factory site (www.x431.com) warns specifically against buying on ebay. In any case, the official UK Launch Master comes with an extra 2 years' updates (worth £625 plus VAT) over and above the 1 year normally supplied. Jaguar, Porsche, Daihatsu, Isuzu and Sprinter are also included.

What is the cost of updates?

£625 plus VAT for 2 years or £475 for one year.

Is there a penalty for missing updates?

There is NO penalty whatsoever. When your free update period expires, you can wait for 6 months, a year, even two years and then, when you buy, your updates run from that date and everything you missed comes FREE!
