Launch X-431 Software Subscriptions.

Although the software for the Launch X-431 is not "time-bombed" (unlike some other scanners) and will continue operating indefinitely without update, practically every user wants to renew, when the initial, free update period has expired.

The worldwide Launch factory site indicates a price of $999 US (approx £666) but now a special price has been negotiated, to assist UK customers.

Update now! Only £410 + VAT for 1 year's updates or £599 + VAT for 2 years' updates, and entry to Launch's VIP Club. We strongly recommend the CAN2 plug at £120 plus VAT, if you don't have one already.

Your memory card needs to be at least 128MB to take all the latest software. If it isn't, we can supply a card, minimum size 512MB, for £30 plus VAT (preloaded with the latest software). We guarantee this card will be compatible with your X431 (many aren't).

Important Update on CAN2 Plug

Launch have now devised and offered their second "firmware update", version 2.2, for the CAN 2 diagnostic plug. This update allows the x-431 to interrogate newer CAN systems in a more efficient and stable manner.

The new firmware is, however, limited to the CAN 2 plug itself and, therefore does not apply to the earlier Universal (CAN 1) or Volvo CAN plugs, superseded some time ago by the CAN 2.

Our price of £120 plus VAT for a genuine Launch CAN2 plud represents a substantial saving from the official list price.

Renew Your Software

Just enter your serial number below. You can find your serial number by removing your X-431 from its leather case and looking at the back of the "smartbox". The number must come from the smartbox, not the printer or display unit.

The same number should be printed out, each time you print from your X-431.
