OBD II / EOBDII Logo

Below, you will find details of the systems covered by the Launch X-431 on OBD II / EOBDII.

Application Coverage:

When tackling a vehicle for which you do not have a dedicated engine programme, EOBD / OBD II can be very useful. Generally speaking, in the UK, petrol-engined cars from January 2001 and diesels from 2004 are EOBD-compliant but many Saabs, Jaguars and Fords etc, together with several earlier diesels, are also supported. A further bonus is the Freeze Frame facility which comes with this programme. Information about conditions applying when a code first appear are displayed by the X-431. These could include engine RPM, vehicle road speed, coolant temperature, load factor and many more. Plug used is either OBD II 16c or CAN 2
