Launch and Ebay
It has come to our attention that companies and individuals selling the Launch X-431 on EBay are claiming that RW Motortec Ltd can arrange for regular software updates after the purchase of these units from Ebay.com.
THIS IS NOT TRUE.
These units are cheaper because they do not come via the route approved by Launch China. When any company or individual, including Official UK Launch Distributors, attempts to carry out updates, the unit will be blocked permanently, by Launch’s central computer system. You may be told of instances where this blocking has not yet taken place but this is merely because added free to the official package.
Remember that the European Package, available only from Official UK distributors, include a 2-year warranty and technical support, something that is also missing when you buy from an non-official dealer.
