Advanced vehicle diagnostics: read OBD2 codes in real time with the CCR Superstream fault code reader
On Board Diagnostics (OBD2) or European On Board Diagnostics (EOBD) are the self-diagnostic and reporting capabilities for petrol cars from 2001 (diesels from 2004) and provide the technician with access to the vehicle's state of health.
If an OBD2 fault code is produced it may be looked up in a manual or interpreted by fault code readers like the CCR Superstream.
Note that a fault code is not produced every time, but the CCR Superstream can still diagnose problems even when no fault code is evident.
Faults on OBD2 compliant vehicles are indicated by the "check engine" light. The on-board diagnostics will have detected a malfunction, recorded the state of various engine components and parameters, generated a trouble code and turned on the check engine light.
Connecting the CCR Superstream to the OBD2 socket will quickly interpret the fault code and, when the fault is rectified, turn off the check engine light.

If you see a recovery vehicle going by, there's a fair chance it's got a CCR Superstream fault code reader on board (or its predecessor, the CCR Super).
Repair garages, mobile mechanics, car sales outlets, fleet owners and, of course, recovery operators all love the CCR Superstream. Designed and manufactured to the highest standard and carrying a 2 year warranty, it incorporates a tough, flexible OBD II connecting plug and a superb, weather resistant carrying case.
The CCR Superstream fault code reader's advanced vehicle diagnostics crack trouble codes very quickly, and in real time. It interprets 'Freeze Frame Data' to tell you the exact engine conditions when the engine light came on and will extinguish the engine light when you're done.

Featuring a large, back-lit, LCD display, the CCR Superstream shows trouble code definitions and eliminates the requirement for a code book. Freeze Frame data is also provided, recording vehicle speed, engine RPM, coolant temperature, etc, existing at the time the fault first arose.
As well as addressing the usual four OBD2 protocols, the CCR Superstream is also able to work with cars using the newer CAN protocol (e.g.. Ford Fiestas from 2003, Golf Mk V from 2004, Renault Megane 2 from 2003, and many more including several new Mazdas and Vauxhalls).
- Supports all OBDII/EOBD protocols including ISO 9141, J1850PWM, J1850VPW, KWP2000 ISO 14230-4 and C.A.N (Controller Area Network)
- Reads and erases OBD2 Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and turns off Check Engine light
- Identifies and displays pending OBD2 codes
- Displays Freeze Frame Data
- Shows generic OBD2 codes (P0, P2, P3 and U0)
- Shows manufacturer specific OBD2 codes (P1, P3, U1)
- Shows code meanings in plain English - No need for a code book!
- Highly reliable and accurate
