The perfect entry-level scanner
The CCR is RW Motortec's scanner aimed at the Do-it-Yourself market.
At only £67, including VAT and delivery, the CCR handles nearly as many cars as our professional CCR Super at around £200. There are two main differences:
- The CCR is unable to communicate with some newer vehicles which use the EOBD CAN protocol. These include current Vectras and Astras, Renault Megane 2s etc
- The CCR displays codes in the form of numbers; you then have to look up the book supplied, to discover the meaning.
- Freeze Frame data (describing conditions at the time of the fault appearing) are not supported
The CCR is compact, rugged and reliable; not only does it tell you why the engine management/automatic transmission light is on - it also puts it out!
